The SHL1200 is a traditional shearlock which is ideal for single action doors which always rest at the same position and have good quality door closers fitted.
The construction of the SHL1200 makes it suitable for aluminium and wooden doors - being very robust in construction and performance, the SHL1200 provides a high level of security with a holding force of 1200kg.
The standard mounting method is flush, which enhances the security of the unit and does not alter the aesthetics of the door and it's surroundings. An optional stainless steel surface housing is available to increase the flexibility of the unit.
Operating at 12 or 24Vdc, the shearlock operates with an intial in-rush current to ensure the armature is pulled up and located in it's locked position. A minimum 2A power supply is required to power the SHL1200 at 12Vdc, which allows for the in-rush current of 1.8A, this settles after locking to 630mA.
Monitoring is standard, a changeover relay signals that power is applied and the lock is bonded.
A varistor is built in to the electronics, which eliminates back EMF and protects sensitive controlling devices such as keypads and access control units.
