The Alarmtech MC 240-S56 reed switch is a device that effectively protects buildings against burglary. In this way, you can protect not only doors and windows, but also garages and gates of industrial plants. The magnetic detector consists of two elements a magnet and a reed switch. One of them is mounted on the window or door frame, the other - on the window frame or door leaf. When the window or door is opened, the magnet separates from the reed switch and the working contact is shorted or opened, which is the impulse to trigger the alarm. MC 240-S56 is a surface-mounted magnetic reed switch with an NC switch function with an increased safety standard. Intended for use in Intruder Alarm Systems (SSWiN) and Access Control Systems to signal unauthorized opening of secured windows, doors and gates in conditions requiring increased durability, e.g. on garage doors. Both the reed switch part and the magnet are located in an aluminum housing, which makes them resistant to damage (the part mounted on the floor will withstand the weight of the car) A strong magnet ensures a large operating gap, and the profiled "L" type handle facilitates installation and adjustment of the magnetic part. The MC 240-S56T version has been extended with steel cable reinforcement, ensuring maximum cable protection without compromising its flexibility.
